Fuddland
A relatively painless move last weekend found me in my new [temporary] home, and it’s a lot nicer than my last place! Proper heating throughout [as opposed to a single electric radiator], comfy sofas [as opposed to hard wooden ones], and lots of light.
My new roommates seem ideal: quiet, considerate, and two of them don’t so much talk as purr softly from time to time. Yes, in a mutually-beneficial arrangement, I’ll be cat-sitting here over the Christmas week whilst their owner goes on holiday. I’ve missed my own feline friend so it’s nice to have a couple of cats around again.

Looks very fancy. Hope you enjoy your Christmas there. What are you planning to do?

Re #1: Work! It’s just a normal day here, so no day off for me. :( But we’re planning on cooking as close to a traditional Christmas dinner as we can manage—if we can’t locate a turkey, the biggest chicken we can find will have to suffice.

Looks nice.
(I HAVE been reading, just not commenting much, honest!)

Looks gorgeous! Is it common to have water dispensers in Chinese homes?

Re #4: Yeah, in the cities it is. Drinking the tap water isn’t advised [but it’s been fine for cooking and washing fruit etc.].
